Mark Magnus (Muhammad Hassan) was supposed to originally be at SS. The plan was for him to beat Taker back at the GAB, but then UPN didn't want that character anymore on their network after the terrorist angle. So the writing team had to figure out a way to "kill" his character, and that lead to him being given The Last Ride onto the cement floor, thus "killing" the character.
