Ed moved to New York

I'm a big Tom Cavanagh fan, and was so sad when Ed ended its run on NBC. The parallels to Ed are incredibly similar. Forget the male version of Sex and the City - it's Ed in New York!

In the first episode he loses his job and girlfriend (Ed found out his wife was cheating and he quit his job).

He's surrounded by a tightknit group of friends (Ed had Mike, Phil, Kenny, etc.) and it includes one woman with whom he has sexual tension (Ed had Carol, Tom has Bran).

It's a great vehicle for Cavanagh nonetheless - he's an incredibly likable actor, and it's wonderful to see him back on TV. I hope this show does well!

How bout hte fact that his best friend's name is Mike, he works/worked with two guys named Phil and Eli, he switched from a big company to a smaller one, he drinks coffee while walking the streets with a female friend who gives advice and that his new office is the exact same set up as Ed's office in Stuckybowl (I honestly think its the same desk)!

Too bad they (Exec Producer Tom?) forgot to add comedy to complete the parallels.
