CBS needs to get its act together

While mostly brought on by the cancelation of Love Monkey, I have a generally low opinion of CBS right now. They air three different CSIs, which I'm sure a lot of people watch, but come on do you really need three? Why do you need to cancel a unique show like Love monkey to show another reality show. And one more thing. CBS now has three shows on their website listed for the monday night 9:30 ET slot. I really like Out of Practice and think Courting Alex is plenty watchable. Yet it seems that both will be edged out by yet another show from a member of the Seinfeld cast. How have the rest of them turned out? Get your act together CBS or I'll remember why I never used to watch your network.

CBS has little patience for young-skewing shows like Love Monkey. Face it, this show had limited appeal to people over 40.

I am 64 and I loved "Love Monkey". Thought it was very current, interesting, well paced, well written. All that is too much for CBS I guess. I am pissed they took it off. And as someone else said give me a break with all of the CSI crime shows ho-hum!

reply

Maybe the show that replaces Courting Alex will have better writing. Alex had a lot of potential but mediocre writing took it down. Maybe this Seinfeld cast one will work. Who can it be? Not George, Elaine or Kramer, they all had thier shots.

Love Monkey was great - too great for ho-hum CBS I guess. All they can think of is another CSI!?

reply

It's Elaine again, and it looks even worse than her first attempt. I didn't find the previews the least bit funny. I've just given up on CBS altogether.

reply

I would give up completely on CBS but I still like How I Met Your Mother.

reply

DaBob - you're right, How I Met Your Mother is a great show. I still TiVo that and Two and a Half Men.

They did. They dumped this flop, and replaced it with a hit (The Unit).

CBS has been the number 1 network three years in row

So they defenitly dont need to get there act together

reply

What a mistake. I loved Love Monkey. I'm 47...and there isn't one show I watch on CBS now. Too bad they're losing so many viewers. I have no sympathy.

reply

If your over 40 and your posting on this message board you really freak me out.

CBS has been gaining viewers over the past three years actually. More so for Sports than anything else. And the Olympics on NBC were horrible, giving more viewership to CBS. Love Monkey seems more suited for FOX anyway.
