Going the distance: No-Cut.

What do you think about the spar and round without a cut? Do you think it was well done? Do you think it`s part of the latest fashion in film? Did it match the experience, or intensify it? Can you reccomend any similar scenes (Corridor Fight i.e.)?

simliar scenes:

Hardboiled has a 3min actionscene without cut and lotsa dead guys, shooting and action .. its from 1992.

Tom Yum Ghoon has a 3min fightscene wihtout cut, which is quite awesome.

Arahan has some pretty long shots during the final fight.

Born To Fight (thailand) has some 1 or 2mins scene with lot of action and without cut.

for Crying Fist: I think it was quite good done .. but I liked the fight in the prison a lot more .. and it was without cut too .. that one was VERY impressive, because the two guys did a lot more and the camera was from a fixed position, which means that they had to hit eachother for reel in some parts of the fight.

I felt it really showed in a good way the feeling you have after a big round of boxing. It's almost as if the watcher becomes a part of the scene and tires with the boxers. You almost feel exhausted after the round =)

I personally love when directors and actors have the balls to do scenes like this.
It really shows that the actors have skills and not just hollywood fake "cut every second" bs.

Oldboy also has a fabulous scene wich is in one cut.

The round without a cut was VERY well done, IMHO. The camera work was quite impressive there.

Some of the best fight choreography I've ever seen in any movie. It's a bit depressing to me that this movie gets so little recognition.
