Never before has McDonalds been used

Been used in such a degrading depressing way. After her local soup shop owner decides to no longer serve our protagonist and kicks her out and calls her a complete disappointment and embarrasment to country and family we cut to the next scene and see her eating two hamburgers from McDonalds. An absolutely brilliant juxtaposition without saying a line of dialogue. I, for one, was devastated.
