WORST MOVIE EVER.

I personally feel very angered by this film. I was expecting horror beyond imagination. These movies were supposed to be "TOO SCARY".

W.T.F

Someone actually said that this was scarier than The Shining.

THE SHINING!!!!!!

Obviously they were reffering to the television re-make
(in that case I agree). I had to literally FORCE myself to stay awake. I walked out 1/2 hour before the end. Wishing I had seen Casino Royal.

I give it negative 3 stars and two middle fingers up.

Hey, if you don't like the film, fine. But worst movie ever?

I have to laugh. I've seen crap that makes this film look like an Oscar-contender.

I will admit I was disappointed by it, however, and I can see why many viewers would be bored.

I know a lot of people who wouldnt go for this movie, and its mostly the people who dont really go to movies to think about it or they get bored by subtitles, or both. If you don't like a movie then whats the point of going off on it if it wasnt brought up yah know?

Did you really believe all that advertising? If it was scary beyond imagination it would not be showing in theaters across the nation, and we'd all have heartattacks and massive coronaries in the theater seats if it did.

Yeah, if these were "too graphic for the public", they probably wouldn't all be available for rent at Blockbuster! And to the OP, try watching Ax 'Em or Dark Harvest 2 before you say this is the "worst movie ever" (not even close...I thought this movie was really creepy).

Worst movie ever? Before saying that, think in the other movies like 50 cent, Bair Witch Project, etc...

Now, do u still think this is the worsto movie ever? :P

reply

Are you kidding?!? This film was great! A great story, great twists. Horror doesnt have to come from gore. I need this movie.

reply

To each his own, Ramirez. Gore is boring yeah, but these twists were not too surprising.

Plan 9 from outer space is the worst movie ever. This, however, was a great j-horror/thriller. I really really really liked this movie. It was scary in some bits, plus is messed with your head.

Scarier than the shining? oO That doesn't take a lot.. teletubbies is scarier than the shining (and yes I do mean the kubrick version).

I didn't think the movie was boring at all. o.o For the first 30 mins I was expecting some generic j-horror, with a creepy girl scaring the piss out of me (and after 5 minutes, I was already covering my eyes). The movie took a turn about an hour in, and you go "oooooooh!!!" and you THINK you've got it - but you don't.
I loved the ending. If you're not used to j-horror, yes it's gonna be boring. J-horror builds up in a completely different way than hollywood-horror. F.ex Ringu vs The Ring, Ringu is slooooow and tedious and hardly scary - but it has a brilliant story, The ring scares the crap out of you every 5 minutes but the whole story is lost in it.
I recommend you watch more asian horrormovies, get used to the flow of them, then watch this movie again - cos this movie is frikken good, from the start till the end.

reply

Agree with you BRRamirez. This movie is fantastic! Great finale as welll! The "gifts" in the end creeped me out!
Why do people always say "worst movie ever" when they don't like a movie? Maybe they don't watch as many movies...

reply

The ending is good but the movie is very boring for more than an hour.
6/10.

I disagree. I found that the buildup and the multiple character threads made for a damn interesting and creepy film. It is a real shame that you left when you did because the ending is fantastic. The last 20 minutes are just incredible. Twitching corpes, zombie/ghosts, messed up talking dolls, a grand revelation that I did not see coming until it pinched me on the butt....

Of course, I go into all japanese horror films prepared to see an hour of set up with limited creepiness and a incredible ending. Watch "premonition" some time and see what I mean. You need to watch the first 70 minutes to build up the appropriate expectations but you will be mostly waiting for something to happen. When the ending comes, I was lying in bed thinking to myself "You would never show that in an american horror film ever... way too graphic". That is just how japanese horror films can be.

And to be honest, I have always thought that "the Shining" was highly overrated... the book was so much better.

That being said, I hope you got to see "Casino Royale" because it is probably the best Bond film ever made.
