It's one of my top comedies of all-time and my favorite Stoner film. So, yes, I'd say it's worthy. Nice to see it get some recognition from a critic. Though, for the record, audiences already rate it pretty highly. 85% on RT. So it may already be a cult film.

The only thing that screams 2005/06 are the flip phones, but it's not exactly an important part of the story. Other than that, it seems timeless. While I'm sure some of the graphics and the style of games are also kinda dated, I'm not a gamer so I don't really notice/pay attention to that.

It's just an entertaining, feel good stoner movie you'd put on at a party, and stuff like that holds up well. How many 80s movies like Fast Times etc. are still popular?
