A friend of mine brought the album, we heard it, and I rushed out to bring mine as well.

The music is an original score by Anu Malik, that's why it takes longer to memorise the songs instead of remixes and lift-off's these days, which are so easily hummable and forgettable after a while.

This is Anu Malik's best score till date.

Sadhna Sargam (who made her debut along with Alka Yagnik some 25 years ago under the baton of legendary music directors Kalyanji-Anandji, who composed the Original Don-1978) makes her grand comeback with the song- Humko-Maloom Hai.

A collector's album for sure.

Salman Khan will naturally be outstanding in this movie.

enough of discussions....the fact that one guy has taken so much pain to come to jaan-e-manns official chat forum to discuss about don itself shows that dons fans are worried about jaan-e-mannn

Hi, Ya the music is good. I heard all the songs, they are melodius in the beginning but Anu Bhai try to extend the songs by some odd high and low tunes isn'it. And surprised to hear some words like Dad naaraz tha... maine phone kiya...and mom mani nahi, I know there is some reason in that so i want to know that if you can clear it. Overall good soothing music.

omg that would probably be the very first thing i noticed about humko maloom hai. i saw the teaser clips on tv, and i guess they played the most melodious parts on tv. overall, the song is different than how i expected it to be. especially the mom/dad stuff. gulzar is sheer poetic geniousness (is that a word lol), but this was weird. average music in my opinion...

MUSIC IS SUPERB (MY PERSONAL RATINGS OUT OF 5):

UDH JAANA ***

HUMKO MALOOM HAI *****

SAU DARD ****

KABOOL KAR LE **

AJNABI SHEHAR ****

JAANE KE JAANE NA *****

THATS AN AVERAGE OF 4 STARS PER SONG SO OVERALL: THUMBS UP!!

i'd like to change my opinion...
i just saw this movie, and the songs make a lot more sense now. basically, the songs in this movie are situational. so i guess my liking of jaanemann's music has increased.

I agree, I used to love Anu Malik...then he started singing, and copying songs, and I was like "ugh"; I am now disgusted with him. This album is just a bunch of modern rehashes; he tries too hard to make it "happening".

This album disappointed me, I bought it and immediately regretted it. Sonu Nigam sounds amazing! just wonderful! Ajnabi Sheher and Sau Dard are great! But the only songs I can bare to repeat whenever I put in the CD is Humko Maloom, and Jaane ke jaane na.
