Catch-22

I enjoyed this film a lot. The dialogue and the way it was used remind me very much of that of Joseph Heller's book "Catch 22". In other words, completely crazed and absurd, and hilarious. This was especially the case for the first doctor in the first hospital. I spent most of that scene laughing and then almost crying (for poor Mr Lazarescu). If you've read Catch 22, you'll recognise this feeling of hilarity mixed with sorrow, since after all, the characters in the book (and in this film) are victims.

A great tragi-comedy for our time, just as Catch 22 was in its time (which is now, really).

I'm quite curious if you understand Romanian or not. My impression is lots of the humor was "lost in translation" in the subtitles.
