Translation/meaning of the title

Babelfish and Bing translate the original title of the film, "Anche libero va bene" as "Also free is fine". What would be a better rendering of it, and how does it relate to the film?

(Google Translate gives the English title, "Along the Ridge", but that's because it works statistically.)

In this case the word 'libero' means 'sweeper', as soccer player.
Tommaso wants to play soccer and in order to do so, he is available to play as sweeper (probably he doesn't like that role very much).
So the meaning of the title is something like "Even sweeper is fine".

OK. Thank you. So it's something like, "Second best is OK."

So the next question would be, why "Along the Ridge"?
