Quotes/Fave Scenes

I wish I could remember two of the quotes that really stood out word for word but my favorite quotes:

"Where is my favorite culinary knife!?"

The scene where she throws a fit about using the same flower arrangement that was used on a magazine cover, Martha shoves the flowers at one of her co-workers and says something to the affect of not using the same damn flowers.....

The scene where Martha nd her mother are baking Ginger Snaps and Martha says something about remembering grinding Ginger when she was a child and her mother
replies that she does not remember gring Ginger, Martha looks at her and sternly says "I Remember".

For some reason I love the final scene as 'Martha' is writing in her appointment book and then she turns around and faces the camera three different times and we see the '3 Faces Of Martha'...Business Martha, Evil Martha, and Sweet Martha. I loved that added piece to the movie and Cybill really camped it up in all three shots!

Professional Jayne Mansfield fanatic/loverâ„¢ since 1980.

My favorite line comes in the scene where Martha is conferencing with her lawyers after having decided to go to prison: "There is a minimum-security prison in Danbury, Connecticut. Tell them I need that one in order to be close to mother. Call them up and see if they have a vacancy!"

Talk about the arrogance of wealth!

I would (respectfully) contradict; it was the arrogance of a hardest-working genius.

Say what you like about the human being; she created an incomparable category of her own.

And my fave scenes - apart from the "dreeeeeamy" [rolls eyes] Gale Harold reprising his role as La Kinney - was the the prison scene of MB at the "dinner table", with all the inmates imitating what she did.
