I am currently playing through the game a second time. I have come across the two old people in Tiens Landing playing the game who, one teaches way of open palm and one teaches way of closed fist. I of course have be rejected by both when i ask to be taught. How the heck can I be taught by them? Can someone who knows the game better go throught this in some detail so I can be taught by them?

What alignment bar?? Do you mean the alignment bar which tells if you are good or bad(blue and red colors)?

shareI became real bad, following way of closed fist. But all I got was you have some understanding and need to come back when you have more. What do they exactly teach you? What does the game show you when they teach you?
shareIf you're good, the woman teaches you Stone Immortal (Earth magic).
If you're evil, the man teaches you Tempest (Air magic).
You don't really need either and if you don't use magic you don't have waste your time, except for the experience, of course.
