Bioware unofficially confirmed a sequel in a survey they sent to certain members of their mailing list, myself included. They said that Jade 2 was in development for 360 and PS3, but based on the questions they asked, it sounded like it was still in its conceptual stage. They suggested that it could take place in a modern Chinese city, where magic was dead, but would be reawakened through the main character.
I seemed like they were trying to gage people's reaction to this concept. Personally, I'd much rather see it take place in the same fantasy world as the previous one.
