shareJade Empire is certainly worthy of being made into a movie, but I doubt it has enough of a following for any studio to see merit in making one. If BioWare makes it into an ongoing series of games and is able to turn Jade Empire into a household name, then it might stand a decent chance of getting the movie treatment. But it remains to be seen if Hollywood is even willing to give video game movies the treatment they deserve. There have been some halfway decent video game flicks, but most are garbage.

While I would love to see this made into a film, there could be conflicts between fans as who to make the Protaganist as there are different characters to choose from. As for Sun Li I would like to see Sonny Chiba fill the role.

Thats why we should let hollywood cast this movie. Use up and coming asian actors and have them be directed by a serious team. An epic movie size team. I think the main character should be Furious Ming also

well technically you can have a relationship with Sky as a male character but i agree- a female lead would be more interesting, Ziyi Zhang perhaps.
Or do a brand new story and just set the movie in the jade empire universe,maybe something about the spirit monks before the massacre at Dirge.

A movie could work. A lot of it would have to be tweaked for cinematic translation though. But I think as long as the general story line was kept (the mentor of the story is ultimately the villain you were trying to save him from), and you left in some of the key characters (mind you, not all of them), then I think it could work. It's been a long time since I've played, but I remember that it had a very cinematic feel to it (as most Bioware games do).
That said, I personally think Wu the Lotus Flower (was that her name?), is the most iconic choice to play the main character. Plus, everyone loves a tough hot chick kicking ass.

If it were to be made into a movie...have one of the female options be the main character...the hero is ALWAYS a guy. Personally I like playing as Scholar Ling. To most guys she's probably the least atractive, but she really does have a good smile! Also she weilds strong magic and can kick @$$ with physical moves. I think if she were to get into a really dramatic battle and her hair were to fall out of it's bon she would be so beautiful. I think the last Sprit Monk should be a powerful soceress, because after all she is connected to a GODDESS! She isn't the most iconic, but I think it could be cool!
