Confused as to who is 'related' to who

I watched this and while I understand the old lady with the shop is the mother of the guy who pretends to be mentaly retarded. But where do the other people, Lois, Junior, Preston, Terri, Clayton and the little girl fit into it.

i kno! i was so confused too. all i kno is that the woman is the mother of the "Slow" man and that Jr. is married to the freaky woman.

i also didnt understand the following:

1. why JT was giving money to clayton
2. why clayton let trevor go free
3. why slow man was pretending to be slow
4. why slow man killed clayton

luke and lorelai!gilmore girls
neela and ray!er

1 He was bribing him to dish dirt on the woman so she might sell him her land.

2 Because if he went to the police and told them what went on on the ranch he would go to jail for his part, so he let Tervor go so Trever could tell and he could run away scott free.

3 I'm not sure but probably so no one would be suspicious of him, who would assume a 'slow' person would be in a kidnapping racket.

4 This was because he knew Clayton was planning on exposing the ranch through JT goldman.

Theres a shot of a little girl in the upstairs hallway, she looks about 4 or 5 years old, later there is a bedroom that looks like it belongs to a small girl as there are dolls and other little girl toys, again this is only shown for a very small amount of time. It feels like she was supposed to have a part in the film but was edited out.

I assumed he had once been a ranch hand who had managed to stick around long enough to work his way through the ranks, but again I am not sure as the film never gets round to explaining much. As for his wife this confused me a lot. I guess she only stayed because the feared being tracked down and killed if she left.

Going through the credits shows that almost everyone at the farm was related.

Mrs. Brodrick (the shop owner) is Weldon's mom (even though he looks older than she is).

Teri and Parker are married; I also assume that Parker was a conscriptee that managed to work his way up the ranks. Clayton seems to be in the same boat as Preston (but doesn't really like the way he leaves...).

Preston is probably another conscripted worker that has kept his head down long enough to stay alive.

Lois and Junior are married (as stated in the film), but I can't suss out their full relationship...probably Junior's brother and sister-in-law.

The unnamed little girl could be a child of Lois and Junior...or of Junior and an unnamed female worker. She could also be the daughter of Parker and Teri, but that's less likely.
