Jay Mohr's Performance...Comed ic Timing at its Finest
...in my opinion, that is, and I'm wondering how many people agree with me. I thought he was outstanding; unfailingly funny in his expressions, delivery, etc. He more than did justic to the dramatic/melancholy-toned "Cousin Mike" moments as well. I like Jay Mohr in general but in this movie, specifically, I think, to use an appropriate cliche, he absolutely shines.
Semi-unrelated note: I'm not usually the greatest of John Leguizamo's fans but HIS performance impressed me to say the least. I suppose I'd say his role was as dramatic as Jay's was comedic (though neither role was exclusively so) & if I had to recast, only allowed to keep TWO of the original cast members (yes, I realize this is not realistic!) it would be these two guys. Mohr & Leguizamo are in peak form.
Anyone else feel compelled to agree, disagree??
