Whores

Bunch of gay whores. Why is this appealing? I'm straight and if I was involved in a documentary where I told everyone on camera about how I'd slept with hundreds of women on a whim it would show I'm a whore. Just because they're gay it doesn't make it any different. This documentary is disgusting! Has ZERO to do with sexual orientation.

Awe hell, who am I to say that? I've been hit on all my adult life by both straight and gay people and during my 20's I was just as promiscuous.

I wouldn't advertise as much in film but here I am on IMDb saying as much. Guess I'm a whore too! Haha

I think you missed the point of the documentary. This was a look back at the hedonism of the 1970's that was big at the time, and how it felt good in youth, but came back to haunt them, a mix of melancholy and nostalgia.

The movie focused on the gay community because they were the proverbial canary in the coal mine when AIDS came about in the 1980's, largely due to AIDS being a black swan event and gay men being unlucky enough to be the first victims of it when it arrived in the West.

There was a wider cultural zeitgeist of unchecked sexual libertine antics back in the 70's in both the gay and straight communities.

I shared a house in San Francisco in the '70s with three gay guys. Around them, everything was about sex. They never stopped talking about it. I got so I'd always watch what words I used because they'd turn anything into a double entendre or sex pun. Sex, sex, sex...they were obsessed, and never let up.

SOUNDS LIKE THE STRAIGHT GUYS I KNOW.
