Why did he put boiling honey in his gunshot wound?

I assumed he boiled it to cauterize the wound but why honey?

reply

Raw honey has excellent antibacterial and therapeutic properties.

It isn't a gunshot wound. I've watched the sequence many times and the only time he could've gotten injured is in the altercation with the fake telephone worker in the cafe.

Anyway, he's treating the wound in a way we are to assume he's learned in his experiences of getting wounded, though as a nurse myself I question the use of honey. That much pure sugar would initiate an absolute hoard of bacteria.

Yeah, that's when the bullet grazes his thigh. When he knocks the guys gun arm, you see a spray of blood hit the wall behind him...

Yeah, that's the only time he could've sustained any kind of wound. I'll have to look for the spray of blood next time.
