Very good, but really passed over...

I thought it was a really good documentary, and I wondered for years how the LA gangs started up.

One thing that bothered me was that once they got to the early 70s, when the Crips & Bloods actually were born, they seems to just skip to the 80s. We heard very little about Tookie Williams, and very little about the founders of the Bloods. Next thing you know, they were talking about how drugs got involved with the gangs in the 80s.

I was really hoping for some more insight into the growth of the gangs in the 70s, and the popularization of the gangs in the 80s into mainstream America (ie the film "Colors", NWA, etc).
