Unconventional and really quite good

Though come to think about it, it would not be too enjoyable if your values are that war & slavery & exploitation are all justified, or that some people are "just better" than others and so deserve to rule over others.

But for living, breathing, compassionate human beings, it's a great film!

On Netflix streaming right now too! :)

I love that last sentence, because it's so true! I'd never heard of this film until I flipped thought some cable channels at a place where I was staying--caught a showing of it on a channel called LINK (a left-wing channel---one of the very few I found on cable---so much for the right-wing's constant drumming/false hype BS about the "liberal media takeover"). I started watching it while cleaning up and ended up watching the whole thing because it was so interesting---plus it had Howard Zinn, Barbara Ehrenreich, and Pete Seeger in it! With the current wave of Occupied protests going on across the country (and the world) this film should be required viewing for those 99% folks who want to know the real deal about the elite 1%, some of whom are actually interviewed in the film----I just recommended it to a fellow liberal who enjoys watching good political documentaries like this one. It has its flaws, but overall, people who have read up on and studied how this society is actually run will get it and appreciate it. You don't have a to be a scholar or anything to watch it---the film pretty much explains/breaks down the whole situation for you.

That's probably why it's nearly unknown in the first place---it dosen't promote the Rethug agenda enough!
