What doesn't make sense to me about Jill...

The phone calls she was getting were freaky, especially if you're alone with 2 sleeping kids. I don't understand why she would run to the guest house because she saw a figure move by the window..like I would been like "WTFF?!!!!!" and taken the kids, and hide.

Meh, she thought the son was home from college.

Exactly! I mean if you're getting calls from someone who asked how the children were, after you went upstairs - I don't think running outside would be a good idea!

Maybe she was trying to get some help? She even set the alarm and locked the door, which, in this society, means 100% safety.

Which begs the question- wouldn't she also have been 100% safe if she hadn't gone outside and thus not needed to get help in the first place?

Wouldn't the fence had to have been opened for the college kid to get in? No way college boy doesn't come through the house first to raid the icebox or check out the cute babysitter!

No way would anyone in their right mind leave a house in the pouring rain to dash 50 yards to a guest house when you already know someone is stalking you!

I know she thought it was their son, but most people would not go outside if they thought someone was outside, watching them through the window.

When that first initial alarm went off, that's when I would have booked it. I would rather be paranoid than be dead.

Again. She is a teenager in a situation she has never been in before. How many people are prepared for a situation like this, let alone anything remotely hostile and life threatening??

Her calls were not being answered or returned. The cops told her they cannot act under a presumed threat (a very real case). She's looking for anything that provides hope, or safety. Being alone made everything worse for her, and her leaving to the guest house was an act of desperation, and act many people in her situation would do.

I know for me, the last thing I would want is to make the kids panic. The least believable aspect about this film was how early the kids were content with going to bed. It was still daylight out lol.
