And has heightened senses of awareness.

Perhaps the stranger was stalking Jill before she took the babysitting gig?

Maybe he followed Jill and her dad to the Mandrakasis' ?

Or the stranger was staking out that amazing house and couldn't believe his luck when Jill showed up?

He drove a super fast car?

The stranger monitored the cellular networks?

Or the stranger saw her facebook page?

Don't forget that the stranger was a psychopath and we cannot use traditional terms when justifying his methods.
