A brilliant movie of a true class

it's an awesome piece of art..never expected a tamil film to be this posh and stylish..this is the type of change i 've been expecting to see in tamil movies. u can call it innovative..

Do not compare tamil movies by putting hollywood movies as a benchmark. They are them, we are us...we are special in our ways, and we've to believe in us ans learn to appreciate our very own productions, and in this case, even by not giving the extra look, we shall conclude that VV is a fantastic movie of a true class, that is extremely compelling in terms of the feelings it brings in us..it goes above and beyond the usual tamil movies - the love theme is a very mature piece - there are many memorable scenes.. all these add the international kind of feeling to it. I've watched e movie several times - and the kind of receptance with which the audience received the film was just outstanding...simply a brilliant movie, in terms of technicality and soul that it carries with itself.

True, most of us intuitively compare movies with Hollywood, but VV fails to be compared too. Here's my constructive criticism, as I watch quite a few Tamil movies too, in fact I watch quite a lot of them.

Plot - The revealing / introduction of "villains" was an absolute disaster. I really don't expect to see the villains in this form. In fact the plot would have been more gripping when the trace revealed them in a more intriguing manner. (remember Mounam Sammadam )

True the relationship theme is extremely matured and quite real - thank goodness, GM didn't diverge.

Kamal & the director definitely need to be credited for the details on screen, apart from the browsing of passenger manifesto.

Editing - There are couple of goofs, if you notice carefully (technically) yet none to the lame viewers (I don't blame them)

Music / Audio: Good ambiance sound recording

Soundtrack: Although HJ records his music after being inspired from couple of hip-hop numbers, I think the melody piece is original enough. Although the video of "Nerrupa" was totally wasted.

I'm totally excited about the opportunity / potential of KK's next part as in the 3rd part of KK based storyline. Should be a pleasure to watch Kamal & Surya act together. Imagine Kamal mentoring Surya , hey they even have a "common name", which could set the movie right, remember Jo's daughter in this movie is called "maaya"!
