Bosnian muslims in movies
Its so hard to find an unbiased movie regarding the Bosnian war. Muslims are always portrayed as the victims. After a bit of research on the net u can see that there are a lot of verdicts against bosnian muslims for war crimes, most of the convicted are even conected to al-Qaeda, but none of this is ever mentioned in any movie regarding this topic at all.
Here is one interesting verdict that shows ties between al-Qaeda and muslim war criminals in Bosnia:
On Wednesday, March 15, 2006, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague announced a landmark war crimes conviction of Enver Hadzihasanovic, the Chief of Staff of the Bosnian Muslim Army, and Amir Kubura, the commander of the 7th Muslim Brigade of Zenica which included the El Mujahedeen Unit, a brigade composed of al Qaeda Muslims, 5 of which crashed with planes into New York City on 9/11.
The ICTY Trial Chamber, consisting of Presiding Judge Vonimbolana Rasoazanany, Judge Jean-Claude Antonetti and Judge Bert Swart, convicted these commanders of the Bosnian al-Qaeda of committing war crimes against Bosnian Serb and Bosnian Croat civilians.
Trial Chamber II of the ICTY Tribunal convicted Hadzihasanovic and Kubura for committing war crimes against Bosnian Serb and Bosnian Croat civilians of their “failing to take necessary and reasonable measures to prevent or punish several crimes that forces under their command committed in central Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1993 and the beginning of 1994.”
What is remarkable about this case is that it is the first case to address the issue of mujahedeen or “holy warriors”, armed foreign Muslim volunteers or combatants, who had been recruited by al Qaeda to participate in a violent jihad or Islamic holy war in Bosnia. The Court noted that the “foreign” Mujahedeen was able to create a “domestic” or “local” Mujahedeen, proving that Bosnian Muslims themselves were engaged in a Jihad in Bosnia.
