Mixups on IMDb page?

There are mixups galore on the IMDb page for Moonlight Serenade.

First, the IMDb says it is a 2009 film, but the DVD says 2005. Also, the lead actor is shown as Scott G. Anderson, but he's not the lead. The leading man is Alec Newman, who portrays investment broker by day/jazz musician by night Nate Holden.

Actually, the IMDb does credit Alec Newman with the Nate Holden role, but does so way down in the basement of the credits listing... rather than right after the name of Amy Adams, as it appears in the film credits on the screen.

Unquestionably, the main attraction of Moonlight Serenade is the many affectionate renderings of standard American pop tunes. You'll find no hip hop or rock and roll here.

It's been, literally, years since I have heard standards such as "You Go to My Head" (Coots/Gillespie, 1938) and "Love Walked In" (the Gershwins, 1930) sung so endearingly. And there are many more like them in this score.

Since the film credits don't say anyone dubbed their voices, I'll assume that Amy Adams and Alec Newman did their own singing in this film. Both acquit themselves adequately in the vocal department, Adams perhaps a shade better than Newman.

Another curiosity, for a second millenium film, is the lack of vulgar language in the sound track. Oh, and the romance between Newman and Adams is also free of vulgarity... though the kissing scenes are kind of hot.

Cheers,
Dan
