How was Amin talking on the phone from his car? I didn't think they had those in 1972.

Are you sure it was a phone? I thought it was a two-way radio.

He was, and they had them back then. Not sure what the technology was then though. Very early analog I'm sure.

We applied Rule .303. We caught them and we shot them under Rule .303!

I think it's a military two-way radio, which is available since WW2.

Mobile phones used to exist before Cellular technology....they used local short wave frequencies to transmit the call to the phone company...thus you could listen in and join a call with a short wave radio...which we did when we were in college back in the late 80's....The drug dealers on the call were none too unhappy.
