My, oh, my great performances ruined by distracting, unnecessary and utterly contrived docu-style/cinema verite cinematography.

Originality needs a reboot.

Uh no, I agree with the OP, too many jerky close-ups do detract from a good movie which features two fine central performances.

Where are yours then? And the OP is righr. The camera work was bloodyy awful.

My guess would be that the director was trying to almost give the film a documentary/"fly-on-the-wall" type of feel. At least that's the impression I get. I think it worked
