SPOILER QUESTION!

I don't get the ending. How could Kovak de-activate the implants after he was shot? Or did I miss something major in the plot?

reply

It was apparent during the movie that Kovak had many accomplices...so maybe he instructed them to deactivate the implants if Tim Hutton's character killed him? This wasn't as good a movie as I had originally heard, hence the straight-to-DVD in the USA I guess.

reply

The only implant de-activated was Sylvia's. I assumed it was done after they kidnapped her off the beach while Hutton was talking to the old guy.

reply

Kovak has many accomplices. The order to deactivate them could very easily been precipitated by his death (via explicit instructions).

reply

Even if it wasn't deactivated ... how often does one run into that Gloomy Sunday song in one's life these days? I never heard it, or of it, before the movie. I've never heard it since.

reply

Aha! But then you wouldn't remember hearing the trigger song now would you? ;) Looks like you're still activated! LOL.
