Hey! Love this film but the bit with Mr Saw completely baffled me. Is it a cultural reference that I'm not getting? I have looked all over the internet but can't find any answers!

I asked a Japanese friend for you after we watched the film, and she didn't know. It must be just a surreal touch. (I found it pretty scary actually ..)
