Things I liked, things I did not:

Being a big fan of the movie, I was looking forward to seeing what they kept in and what they changed. From what I've played I've thought of the following (possible spoilers):

THINGS I LIKED:

*Hedgemaze, playing as the fake Bond and seeing Red Grant stalking you and smoking a cigarette

*Being able to knock over tables and use them as cover, like the guy does in the gypsy camp in the movie

*Combat and stealth manouvres, being able to take a guy out with one hit

*Red Grant returning at the end to be the final boss, really like his character

*Simpleness of targetting and killing enemies, I hate games being too hard

*Driving through Istanbul destroying russian cars, quite fun

*Sean Connery doing the voice for Bond

*Exciting cut scenes

*Being able to do the stealth thing on walls, like MGS

*The way Red Grant kept calling Bond "Old man"

*Jetpack was quite fun

*Sniping the hitman through the mouth of the poster like in the movie

*cutscene involving Bond and the #3 (the old woman) from SPECTRE, glad they had the poison blade on her shoe bit

*Had a lot of dialouge and one liners from the movie

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE:

*Absense of #5, the guy who plays chess and planned the whole SPECTRE operation (yeah he's in multiplayer but not the main story game)

*SPECTRE being called OCTOPUS

*Bond fighting Red Grant in the restaurant car.. took place in Bond's quarters in the movie

*Natasha bedingfield

*The escape route isn't what its like in the film, no flower truck, no countryside, would have liked to have ran through the fields avoiding the helicopter on foot

-------------------------------------------------------

That's it for now, I'll probably think of more later. I may come across as a little pedantic, but I like my Bond :)

What were all your likes/dislikes about the game?

But I love Eva! Don't be mean to her, she's menacing and not out of place. She's supposed to be out there, she's a SPECTRE agent, that gives her a right to be crazy and wearing a leather catsuit. What about Fiona Volpe in TB? She wore won while she drove her motorbike.

I agree with all the wrong things the OP mentioned, but here are a few of my gripes:

--The game's WAY too short.(I rented the game and beat it in two days.)

--When you target an enemy, you have to push another button just to manually aim at the guy, which is very annoying.

--While it was cool to have Connery return as Bond, his performance was kind of lackluster.

Meatwad: Oh, hi Carl!
Carl: Is that all you came to say? We, uh, we done here?

reply

True. The game is WAAAAAAAAAAAY too easy. It took me a grand total of 5 hours to beat! Not even remotely challenging. I think I only died a few times in that time when I always died quite a few times on numerous levels but none of these levels were even challenging!

Is this a Stelth Game?

reply

I HATED THE DRIVING. Normally it would be the bit I looked forward to but the driving was AWFUL.

reply

byzantinechild I agree with you about Eva/Maria.
I loved her and her character.
Too bad she had to die but she (Maria) should be a Bond girl in a future Bond film (live) and like they do with the other bond games in multiplayer of future games they should bring her back.

Things I didn't like:

1. The encounters with big villians where Bond has to repeatedly shoot them until their "lifeline" diminishes were too monotonous. They should have been more imaginative as they were in "Everything or Nothing" or "The World is Not Enough" where Bond outsmarated his enemies.

2. There were too many annoying helicopters.

3. The game was too short.

4. There was no spying, and no usage of stealth.

Things I liked:

1. It's not on par with Everything Or Nothing, but overall, it's still a good game despite its shortcomings.

2. The cut-scenes and dialogues are excellent.

3. MI6 interlude is quite ineractive.
