What does "glossy posse" mean?

glossy = lipgloss make up
posse = group
My powers of deduction lead me to believe that a glossy posse is a bunch of celebs, with their fake tans, spadefuls of make up and zero personality.

In England its a term applied to the collective of journalists etc. from the so-called high end celeb/fashion magazines. These are usually called the "glossy" mags due to the high quality paper they are printed on e.g. Maxim, Cosmo, Vogue, Empire etc. Therefore:
Glossy mags = "Glossy"
Group of journalists = "posse"

I guess you're right Aintalf, I mean the protagonist is English and it fits the context of the scene where he said "glossy posse".
