Zeitgeist is this film only 10X better

Ughhh,I'm agnostic/atheist. Zeitgeist was so polished and well done that in comparison this film is a disgrace. Annoying and immature graphics and film making with a disjointed message that seemed to come purely out of bitter hatred instead of study.

Also I purposely avoided watching the Passion of the Christ because I hate gore and violence, he forced me to watch the worst parts of the film in detail. I'm so embarrassed that this is on Netflix or even out in the world at all, it just confirms Christian's opinions that Atheists are angry.

I was forced to have a Christian education from preschool to college as well and I understand the anger but this does nothing but stir the pot.

Also the music....terrible. This is worse than being force to watch a religious movie.

It doesn't matter because the bible stories and characters are nothing but Judeo Christian MYTH! Clyons is a mentally ill ChristNUT who foolishly believe hundreds of stories of other gods are made up yet somehow Jesus isn't when not a SINGLE first hand account or physical proof of him exists anywhere!

Thankfully THOUSANDS of churches close every year in America alone and Christianity is clearly dying out in the west so nuts like him will eventually go extinct!

Jesus NEVER existed! He is Judeo Christian MYTH!

I accept your contention that it has far better production values than this film--so do many access cable shows shot on iPhones. But I think you are underestimating how much of an angry atheist audience there is out there, who lack the cognitive skills to recognize how bad it is--I mean, the other guy responding to your post read an article on a hoax news website, and proudly trotted it out as proof of his pet theory that Jesus never existed as a flesh and blood person. And although this article gave snopes.com as its source--he never went to snopes to read the original source! Which does not exist! Because snopes thinks Jesus was a flesh and blood person!

Conspiracy theories can be fun, but they're mainly nonsense no matter how well presented. Honestly, if you're going to be a conspiracy nut, go big. Go with the cray-cray. Don't hide your tinfoil hat under a knit beanie! Say proudly to the world "I mock those who believe in supernatural events they can't see or prove while proudly expressing my belief in non-supernatural events I can't see or prove that should actually be possible to see and prove!!"

Zeitgeist has been totally debunked--in fact, all the ideas in it were debunked before it was even made. Better production values doesn't change the fact that the ideas are bad, and the facts non-existent.

People can believe whatever they want, but in so doing, they are being RELIGIOUS. That's what religion is. Believing what you want, instead of what's known to be true, and doing so in a group. Like at a movie theater. Or on the internet.

Atheists and agnostics are supposed to be rational skeptics--and a lot of them are--but the fact is, personality isn't determined by ideology. One overreaction leads to another. An overly zealous religious upbringing can make you and overly zealous atheist, and vice versa.

And nothing cures stupid.

Believing the gospels are inspired by ancient mythologies that in their original forms did not remotely resemble the gospels is stupid.

They were inspired by religious Jews believing a man who had walked in their midst was the Messiah, and eventually believing he was God in human form. They were wrong. But it's still a beautiful story, and the truth is that if that had never happened, all the same negative traits of human behavior you associate with Christianity would still exist, and might even be worse.

But I'll say this for Zeitgeist--it inspired a funny article on cracked.com--top that, TGTWT! I bet Cracked doesn't even know you exist!

Zeitgeist is partly correct. Bible stories were simply copied from earlier religions and gods! Even CLERGY have admitted the similarities of other gods and have no explanation other than garbage like "god is trying to trick us". You can just as easily say other gods are real and Jesus is a fake god trying to trick you! IT'S ALL GARBAGE and even a psycho like Clyons knows that deep down inside!

Clyons you are nothing but a lying delusional FOOL trying to prop up a DYING FALSE religion! The bible has been debunked and discredited LONG AGO! Only mentally ill fools wait for a MYTHICAL Jesus who will NEVER come!

Jesus NEVER existed! He is Judeo Christian MYTH!

Hey, let's see some clergymen saying "I have no explanation for the gospel other than its authors copying from earlier religions."

Btw, are you really never EVER going to admit you got hoodwinked by The National Report? That's so incredibly lame. Just admit you got pwned, and I'll let it go. Just once. Say "Okay, I read this story and it was what I wanted to hear, so I didn't even think to go over to snopes.com and see if they really said Jesus was a myth, and I didn't know The National Report only publishes made-up stories to generate web traffic. I never thought to google and see if this is a reliable source of information with an entire Wikipedia article devoted to it, that explains it publishes intentionally false controversial stories."

That's all I ask. Admit you got made a fool of. See, you can SAY I'm a delusional fool, but where's your proof?

Mine is your own post to this forum where you posted an obvious hoax as the truth, when a 20 second google search could have saved you from that humiliation.

Richard Carrier, seemingly the most well known "mythicist" around these days (I think) would disagree with you:

"GWWT suffers from the unavoidable problem of all entertaining documentaries: it oversimplifies things. But it's nowhere near as egregiously full of sh*t as Zeitgeist: The Movie, which has been thoroughly debunked as absolute garbage by several knowledgeable commentator . . . "
