how to make a good garfield movie

1/ Make Garfield actually look and act like Garfield.
2/ Make Odie look like Odie.
3/ Hire people that can act.
4/ Be faithful to the characters- Jon should be a loser, the vet should be sarcastic etc etc etc
5/ Keep the humour of the comic strip in there.

^ Is it too much to ask? These movies need to end right now- theyre just a waste of a great opportunity. The only thing theyve managed to get right is the voice casting of Murray and thats literally it.
