just what the hell is that supposed to be....?

Sorry but this is just another pop-documentary trying to make something popular and precious... Snowboarding IS an important part of my life and I know a lot about the development of the sport... What the movie tells is mostly right, but also sometimes totally irrelevant and REALLY lacks in the full story... Instead of focusing so much on the US by demonizing Europe, Japan & contests they should have taken some time to get to the bottom of a lot of things. What about the ISF's fight with the FIS? What about contests? What about developments (global)?

All the movies tries is to "loog good" but frankly it's nothing more... a Pop-Film that destroys a spirit by presenting it supercool and hiding the fact, that it's a Hollywood-Pepsi-Cola production which has only one goal -> get people in the theatre or buy the DVD, watch it and then go "Oh my god that's so cool!"

By the way, the only "FIRST" descent in this all american movie is done by an european, how paradox is that? I wouldn't care if it's presented as "the american development of snowboarding" but saying "the story of the snowboarding revolution" is a bit over the top considering the big lack of facts this movie has.

So many dialogues oder interviews could have been taken out and replaced with useful information!

I think the "first" part of the title was snowboarders experiencing something new for the first time. its not about who did it first. but w/e its your opinion too!
