Nuke? (spoilers)
Was that really a nuke they used at the end of the film?
Seems a little improbable that the US government would sanction a nuclear strike against its own country, even to contain a pandemic. Obviously there's the radiation factor to contend with. Somewhere all that radiation from the blast is going to come down on another unsuspecting little town causing health problems and even death. Another factor as to why they wouldn't nuke the town would be for political reasons. Other countries are going to notice the blast and will certainly ask questions, would they really trade a viral apocalypse for WWIII?
To me, it would have made more sense to use a MOAB or some kind of air fuel burst bomb to properly incinerate the town and all traces of the virus, they could cover it up easier too because there would be no radiological signatures to detect that would give it away as a nuclear bomb.
That's my two cents, what do you guys think?
