Water: human beats dog.

I thought this was a fun horror film. One thing I thought about while watching it was at the scene where the dogs are swimming after the guy in the water. Dogs aren't great swimmers. Their fur and body shape are terrible for it. However humans are exceptional swimmers for being land creatures. You could presumably easily defeat a dog in the water, just swim underneath it and break its legs, or pull it under and drown it. I thought it was kinda cute in that scene seeing all those dogs just swimming at him like sharks, but everytime I see dogs swimming it's so awkward and cute I couldn't help but laugh.

Thank you for that bit of common sense. Also, humans can stand in 4-5 feet of water and dogs can't. Feet on the ground = major advantage.

I was a bit disappointed in that scene as well. They said they really had to get that plane or they'd be stuck. At that time, they didn't know about the boat. But just a few dogs on the plane and then they're all like forget it, let's go back to the house.

As you said, he could have at least tried to fight the dogs in the water. I don't see how they could have done much given that they can't leap while they're swimming. It would have been easier if it was just 1 dog, but he should have at least tried.
