I bought the first DVD of this thinking it would be old school kung fu films re-cut to voice-overs that said funny absurdities as events were unfolding. Essentially, the films are actually recut with lots of allegedly "funky" weird colours, transitions, and framing by someone that seems to have the attention span of a 2 year old who just can't leave the "slide weird coloured segment in here" button alone, and the voiceovers are saying pretty much exactly what the original said, but "ghettoed" up. This means the voice overs aren't saying anything actually funny. We're meant to find the fact that it's saying the same thing in "Gangsta" funny. And it's not. It's just irritating. So what if they are some of the best musical talents or whatever in the world? They're not funny.
I don't know many examples of something like this. Kung Pow is an example of it done MUCH better. If you're expecting a Mystery Science Theatre or Exploitica-type experience, run away. This is unfunny rubbish, made for the ADD generation.
This is my opinion of what I saw. Maybe I just dont get it. For the £2 I paid for it on Amazon though, guess I can't complain too much.
