Questions *SPOILERS*

Just watched this last night, seems I'm not the only one confused...

1) Did the assassin kill the cops girl and who was the man with him when he did so?

2) Who killed the assassin at the end?

3) Who killed the photographer, was it the lawyer?

4) What happened to the mans son? Was that him in the morgue or was it someone else because he chased his boss asking for his son back?

Anyway, can anyone shed some light on this?

watched it awhile ago, but so can only answer some questions:

1. the assassin killed the cop's girlfriend years ago. she was also the assassin's first kill (first person he murdered). the guy that was with him i presume would be whoever he was working with, or learning the assassin world from

2. not sure. could be the assassin's bald girlfriend, or someone else that was hired to kill the assassin and the girlfriend. i'm thinking the latter because the camera made it look like someone was inside the cargo area looking outside at the assassin and the girl

3. the lawyer killed the photographer

4. my memory's a bit sketchy, but i'm pretty sure the son was killed by the lawyer

4 Well, he was kidnapped and killed by the lawyer (the lawyer says he died more painfully etc...) but it wasn't his body at the morgue, in the end the the other policeman says his body has not been found

I just finished watching this film a few minutes ago. I just found this thread and decided to just clarify and confirm all the answers:
1) Yes, the assassin (Coke, played by Daniel Wu), killed the cop's (Suen Siu-yan, played by Aaron Kwok) girl. The person who was with the assassin is not of much importance in this film. Could simply be someone that the assassin was learning from.

2) Although the movie did not make it clear, due to subtle hints being dropped (such as when the bald girl said to the assassin that he isn't the only killer in the world and she isn't the only agent in the world), it could be assumed that a third party killed the assassin and the agent.

3) The lawyer (To Hou-sung, played by Ekin Cheng) did indeed kill the photographer.

4) The lawyer (To Hou-sung, played by Ekin Cheng) did indeed kill the son. His explanation was that he wanted the dad to pay for what he has done and he wanted the "bad guys" to go against each other.

Hope this helped,

thanks for clarifying some things..just wanted to add some things..

2) its quite weird to have the assassin and his agent killed off by another someone who is unrelated to the storyline..eg. another assassin. At the end Aaron kwok smiles smugly about something..i was thinking maybe he organised the killing coz they spoke about how ppl from the police let slip important info and vice versa..wich is how the witness got killed. Aaron could have found out daniel wu was the one who killed him and/or his gf and wanted revenge. the whole having hope for finding her could be a facade.

3) The lawyer did NOT kill the photographer. The ex-cop who turned investigator (and aarons friend who he talks to in a cafe) did. He tried to sell the photos he stole from the photographer to the lawyer coz he needed money, and the lawyer killed him incase he got closer to the truth. this is made clear when they say he was strangled and the killer was left handed, just like ekin cheng turned out to be.

IMO...
2) The assassin and the girl are killed by someone hired by the same person who transfered three millions to their account and gave the girl the targets.
