Kiefer as Vincennes?

Seems to me he would have been better cast in the Bud White role instead of as Jack Vincennes. Anybody agree?

That is what I thought.

Kiefer as Vincennes would have been perfect... in the book the big V is a better character then White... the book is highley recomended, esp if you liked film... and having watched the film it wont have spoiled the book...

I'm guessing the Bud White idea comes from the persona Keifer has built up around his role in 24. He actually is more flexible than that (see Meloncholia). I think he'd be just fine as Bud. What I don't get is why this T.V. project didn't start out with The Big Nowhere and go through White Jazz.
