they should have hired a script doctor for this series

The dialogue was stilted and amateurish. What kind of professional spy meets at a public resturant to discuss a new case, whilst constantly and loudly dropping the word 'spy'. *cringe*

That is exactly what I thought as well - I felt that the dialogue was too corny & clichéd and I just could not imagine Lea as ex government spy.

Couldn't Jim have got a check-up to see what was in his system when he was accused of being drunk? Jane seems to use Columbo-type flattery interrogation.

All the guy had to do was have a blood test and get it checked for toxins etc.
