As far as I'm concerned, this movie doesn't exist

What were Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner thinking when they bankrolled this mess? All their successful sitcoms were set in a family house...so geez, Marcy and Tom, why didn't you choose to back up something that was family friendly - even for teenagers? How could you? And Marcy, you're like in your 60's now. How come you waited so long to make a movie? And Tom, how can you stoop so low leaving behind your successful TV career to make something as idiotic as The Brothers Solomon? I used to be two of your biggest fans - now I only watch The Cosby Show, Roseanne and That 70's Show just because they're funny - not who bankrolled them!

I hope Bill Cosby never sees Let's Go To Prison.

Lame.

Well you know what they say, p-p-people in glass houses s-sink ships

how can you be two of their biggest fans. tis not possible I tell thee.

reply

Oh, that! I meant to say I used to be a big fan of the two of you. Simple grammatical mistake.

Friend, this line is hilarious. Do you watch sitcoms based on who bankrolled them?

Justice has been done. Well, not justice, but what I wanted which is basically the same thing.

reply

Well, buddy, I was surprised to see that The Cosby Show and That 70's Show were from the same company. So after doing internet research and found that also backed up Roseanne, I thought about watching Roseanne - and fell in love with it! I'd still like it were, let's say, an MTM show. In case you're so stupid, MTM was Mary Tyler Moore's company, which also financed WKRP in Cincinnati and Newhart (two of my favorites).

reply

I didn't know MTM was Mary Tyler Moore's company, so I guess i am so stupid. I am actually dissappointed in my teachers for not revealing this staggeringly useful information to me in all the years I attended school. What a bunch of idiots.

quit being such a mo and keep your thoughts to yourself, because as far as we are concerned, you don't exist and will never care what you think

reply

Now come on! I was just voicing my opinion. And I was being honest, because I love The Cosby Show, Roseanne and That 70's Show. But what I was really asking was...why couldn't they have done something akin to those programs? I mean, Bill Cosby would never endorse jail rape.

reply

Besides, Leonard Maltin (a respected movie critic) gave this movie a bomb and had said, "Even those who find those don't-drop-the-soap-in-the-shower jokes will get bored."

Then again, Leonard Maltin gave the Zappa concert movie Baby Snakes a 'bomb.'

reply

Who cares what Leonard Maltin says? I understand if you don't personally like the movie, but why bring that moron into this when there are so many more respectable critics.

And That '70s Show sucked

reply

Unless it included some creamy Jell-O pudding!

(sorry... just waking up!)

reply

To OP: Lighten up, it was a comedy. Furthermore, there wasn't an actual prison rape scene in this movie. There wasn't even prison sex (thank God). Well, if it was a women's prison I wouldn't mind a prison-sex scene.

So lighten up, drink a few glasses of toilet wine, and relax. It's only a movie.

reply

"Bill Cosby would never endorse jail rape."

Oh, the irony!
