I think this is a criminally underrated flick, and am really surprised Fox hasn't put it out on Blu-ray yet. It's the kind of film that would benefit from a Blu-ray transfer; all the gorgeous beach and underwater scenes would look amazing.
shareThere is a BluRay, it's available in the UK on Amazon. Perhaps you could import a copy if it's not out in your region.
It would be a good thing too, I watched the DVD last night and it's fairly muddy and indistinct. There also seems to be a problem with the contrast; detail is lost in bright and dark scenes, colours can seem a bit washed out because of it. Makes watching the last 1/3 of the movie slightly annoying in places.
I adore this movie. It's one of my favorites. I also just have the DVD version. It's playing on cable right now and looks beautiful on the screen.
