Will they make a movie?

They're making a "DOA:DEAD OR ALIVE" movie, but will they make a Soul Caliber movie? (Robin Shou {Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat} is in it, and so is Collin Chou "Seraph" the guy who protects the Oracle in Matrix)

reply

I heard they're making one, hopefully they'll stick to the trio storyline from the games

I don't know. I honestly never saw it going well with Sammo at the helm. I just thought it'd be kind of campy. I'd rather see someone like Christophe Gans, Yimou Zhang, or Gore Verbinski direct. I could see Sammo playing someone in the movie or maybe heading the fight choreography.

Arkitekt- The Average Joe, Da-Scribe- The Jackass, Self-Pos- The Diplomat. I'm kooky like that.

I honestly hope they do a good movie. I checked the front page of fightersgeneration.com, which happens to have what may be a new poster for the movie. Is that supposed to be Nightmare on it? Looks pretty kewl. : P He says its not a fake, but who knows for right now. I hope the movie done justice and that it won't be stuck in development hell for too long. Also heard rumor it might be animated rather than live-action, but don't quote me on that.

reply

yep, a soul calibur movie is in the making. It could be good, soundtrack-wise.

reply

If they do, they should use the story from the 1st two games (that's Soul Blade and Soul Calibur)

Bring me the head of Shannen Doherty and the body of Alyssa Milano...

Then leave the door closed

does anyone know how one would go about....uhhmm auditioning for something like this?? ahaha... ha... ha...............

reply

they should get Natasha Henstridge to play Ivy. shes a tall, sexy, strong blonde. look her up on IMDB and youll think shes perfect to play Ivy.

reply

Natasha Henstridge is american and Ivy is english. id prefer for Ivy not to be played by a "dick van dyke" type actress. Natasha should play Cassandra or Setsuka maybe

whose *beep* jizz is it!!!??

reply

good choice but how about mark dacscascos as kilik and kane as astaroth oh and maybe renee o'connor from xena as sophitia

A few years ago (right before Soul Calibur III came out, or right after), I read that there was a movie in the works and it was going to be about two shaolin monks trying to stop an evil prince from using Soul Edge to open the gates of hell. In other words, someone bought the terms "Soul Calibur" and "Soul Edge" and was going to apply them to something completely unrelated to Soul Calibur.

I guess that never panned out, though, because that was the first and last I heard about it.

reply

Probably been put on the shelf again for like the 3rd time..
Maybe it's better that it isn't made into a movie.
