Does anything think this movie cheated or came apart in the third act?

SPOILER

Basically I thought the movie was really funny and charming up until the third act. But I do not understand what happened in the third act.

How is it that everyone in the school, soccer players and all, were not able to tell the difference between Sebastian and Viola, when two characters are not identical twins at all, and they are both played by completely different actors?

Also why did the principle call Viola's parents and tell them that they are needed at the soccer game? I assume that the principle wanted to inform the parents of what has been going on with Viola, but why not just tell them over the phone?

Would a school principle, really be willing to sabotage his own school's soccer game by letting the wrong player play, just say 'haha caught you'?

Did I miss some plot or character motivation points here?

The Headmaster who called the parents out was just a gag to set up two things: the moment when the real Sebastian drops his shorts and the "Aaw" moment when the parents reunite. It would serve no purpose to humiliate his own program in public the way he did.

But yet he did humiliate his own program for no purpose by doing so. Why?

Also wouldn't a principle disqualify a student in private with the student, or would they do it publicly in front of everyone, even if meant making a mockery of the school and the event?

You're right. I guess it can all be explained by the fact that... well, everything he says and does in the movie is weird.
