Song on the bus?

There are several versions of this song, and it appears in German hymnals as "Grüssauer Marienrufe", "Altöttinger Litanei" or simply: "Maria, wir rufen zu Dir". It is usually sung as a litany, with a solo singer singing the first part and the others answering. If performed by a mixed choir, the invocations are sung by the men and women respectively.
It is rarely sung the way it is done in the movie (everybody singing the whole text) and it somehow contributes to the goofiness of the scene. (Or was I the only person who found the scene a bit goofy?)
