here's a hint: only accept movietips from people whom you are absolutely sure they have taste, ALWAYS check reviews before you watch a movie and read both the pro and contra reviews, you can count on one hand how many times i have been disappointed with a movie, that's cuz i prefer to spend 15 minutes wasting my time reading reviews then spending 2 hours watching some movie i never heard of and then consider it waste afterwards :x

just my 2 cents

whatching a movie is never a waste of time. Even the worst of them gives you something, and there is allways something that you can learn.

if your life is a big void, then i agree any movie would be welcome to fill the boring missery one calls life, but if one has a life (wife, hobby, friends, going out, travelling) and goals, then bad movies are simply A WASTE OF TIME, but looking at your nickname i somehow feel you won't grasp what i'm telling you (no insult intended), that's why i will give you this quote of the day to ponder about:

"boredom is an insult to your intelligence"

Can you BE any more pretentious and condescending? Just because his nickname sounds foreign he won't "get" what you're trying to say even though he can obviously write in perfect english? And i love how you added in "no insult intended". Indeed *rolls eyes*. And who are you to judge what constitutes a "life" and what constitutes a "void or boring misery" (you spelled misery wrong by the way). If one is a big movie lover, then time watching a movie will obviously be well spent regardless of how busy/social their life is.

P.S You're an asswipe, no insult intended.

boring movie, good acting, bad story.

EMILY ROSE = 100 times better.

what a surprise! ...ranting at someone else exmk000 ?? I think YOU are the ******* idiot. Get a life! Take your pills, you are going crazy again.

reply

You've gotta be KIDDING me, Emily Rose was 500x worse! Emily Rose was a flat out, scene-for-scene ripoff of The Exorcist, even if the setting was slightly different (big deal, country instead of city). You want REALLY scary, then see the ORIGINAL, The Exorcist! Emily Rose wasn't scary at all!!

Really? I thought this was excellent, though not a,mhorror movie, per se. Was she crazy or was she really possessed? A believavble story, to me. Emily Rose was fun but stupid, with cheap thrills.

reply

Perhaps the problem lies in your Latin background and spotty English as "terrific" means "excellent" in English and not "terror-inducing" as you perhaps thought in your search for a horror film.

The problem with the movie is that IT IS TOO RESTRAINED!The true story has much more shocking bits about her behavior and her life that could have made this film much better than it was.The filmmaker also leaves out the very important first and third acts of this story,The first act gives real gravity to how screwed up A. Michel was in real life precedent to the events of the movie. The third act involving the exorcisms and the trial would have been a complete story that was fleshed out.Instead we get an artsy fartsy film (which was decent) with an indie ending that didn't explore the controversy behind the exorcisms and the subsequent trial!

Now about THIS movie, Requiem, crnm_1 you're either stupid, or retarded. I'm guessing both. You BOUGHT a movie just because someone suggested it was good? LOL! Bad move, dummy. First of all we don't need your whole life story just for one post, and second of all "I didn't found it" really doesn't go into much depth about WHY you found that this movie "suck." If you're going to give your opinion, at least explain why you're giving it; just saying "THIS MOVIE SUCK!" doesn't explain anything, nor does it make you sound all that intelligent, either. You're just wasting precious, precious internet space. How dare you!

Somehow I get the feeling the stupidity of your post goes beyond just not speaking english very well. But, once you get a better grasp of the english language, c'mon back and flesh out your insults. Until you can talk better than a kindergartener, however, please stop wasting space and everyone else's time. The only thing this post was good for was getting a good laugh making fun of you. And the next time a chick suggests a movie is "terrorific" (terrifying and terrific at once?), try getting a few other opinions, and/or renting it first before buying it. There's a simple thing called Netflix, if you can manage to find your way around the internet.

I didn't found it.

Hail people.
I fear you may all have been duped by what I would term a 'Trogan Arse'.
crnm_1 strikes me as a fake.
There is no such nationalty as 'Latin'. It's a dead language. In Latin America a variety of languages are spoken...Portuguese, Spanish etc, but not Latin.
So far, he/she has only ever made one post.
A Trogan arse may affect to have poor English which allows for some comments that are difficult to digest, therefore provoking the inevitable frustrated replies. This will also engender support from those who cry 'don't be so harsh, English is not their first language/that's discriminatory' etc.
Don't forget, drunks, stoners and those with a singular sense of humour are not prevented from creating posts on here. I like 'terrorific' by the way.

Anywho...to some points raised regarding watching movies.
While I did study film seriously at university, I have no problem with watching bad movies. Also will watch stuff I've never heard of, which occasionally brings pleasant surprises and obviously some unintentionally kitch and/or comic moments. Am I the only one who finds a movie on tv and lets it roll rather than booting up the computer to check out all the reviews? Haven't we all rented or bought a movie that had a great blurb on the box or a favourite actor/director, only to find later it was 90% turkey?
Sometimes I will drop out of the story and critique the technique, or idly speculate on how I would have improved the awfulness unfolding before me. Doesn't anyone else do this?

I fell asleep watching Emily Rose.
