Wait a minute...

Stone says that for every minute he uses on his cell phone he gets credited for 2. As if he's stoked about this. Wouldn't that double his phone bill? Like what the eff!!!

I'm not the biggest advocate of the immaturity that often reigns here on IMDb forums, but given the quality of the script I'm going to guess once the only draft of the script was submitted to editing they couldn't tell which ones were the real lines and which were inserted as an April Fool's joke.

Alternatively, maybe his phone company gives him some reward thingy based on how much time he uses.

I came to this board last night for this very question, and by the time I got here, because I was thinking the same thing as the OP.
However, the only thing I could come up with is that for every minute he uses on his phone, he gets two back in the account. I guess it would be a pay as you go plan, so if he starts with 500 minutes, and he talks for five minutes, his account shows 510 instead of 495. (If I did that math correctly.)
But, as BakuryuuTyranno said, we shouldn't think too hard about it. :)

I was so distracted by this I had to back the movie up to see what I'd missed while pondering it.
