It's sad to admit it but....

...but this movie actually kind of scared me. I'm not some kind of fly weight, I actually love horrors and the scarier they are the better. There was just something about this movie that scared the bejeezes out of me. The whole idea that there is very little you can do and the way that it is soo easy for them to stalk you is very creepy. needless to say I avoided my computer for a while.
I know I'm going to get a couple of "loser, dont know what your scared of" type of rplies back but the truth still remains t hat very few movies scare me and this is actually one of them.

I am with you there, bloempress. The idea that monsters of such virulence and savagery could easily get to you, and would never stop hounding you short of bringing you into their own hell.... that's all so terrible, so awful.

agreed. everyones going on about how badly this movie sucked. i will admit it definately wasnt good in any aspect. but it scared me. not many movies can do that.

I kind of warmed up to the remake after a few viewings. I like the movie. It's one of my guilty pleasure flicks.

this movie seemed very realistic under certain circumstances and im interested in finding out more about this topic.

if anyone else feels the same get in touch please!

True, the only good things about the remake are Kristin Bell and the premise, which it took from the greatly superior original. I thought the slow-motion ghosts were almost infinitely scarier than the overly-cg American ones. Just like with One Missed Call.

it seems like they tapped into my nightmares to get the images for the ghosts. I've seriously seen stuff like that in my dreams years before this movie was even thought of.

It got me tense and nervous. Not scared, but tense and nervous is as close as i'll ever get to scared while watching a movie.

the other movie that did that was terminator. The first viewing i kept getting all tense and i was like OMG HES GONNA FIND AND KILL THEM! the whole time. Now it's just another action movie haha.

The main characters kept acting like *beep* so I couldn't get into the movie. Since I could suspend belief and get into the fantasy world, the movie wasn't scary to me.

Glad someone out there was entertained.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

The trailer freaked me out more than the actual movie. That's why I rented the thing in the first place. Sadly, it didn't live up to the promise. I still think it's better than a lot of other crappy horror movies that are released nowadays, but it still was a let down.

the part where her friend called and was on her webcam, "i just wanted to see you", but his mouth isn't moving and then he was on Milian's computer too.

yuck. anytime something involves a webcam, i'm skeeved out, like all of the scenes with the people that killed themselves. i have tape over my laptop camera cause i'm so paranoid about it.

"Anytime something involves a webcam, I'm skeeved out"

That's hilarious . . . I'm right there with you on that one. Everybody makes fun of me because I have my laptop "eye" covered up, too! These days, hackers can do just about anything. Yes, I realize how silly it is to think that anyone would actually be interested enough in me to snoop there, but . . . wasn't that a plot point in "The Dark Knight?" Batman using cell phones/computers somehow to find the Joker?
On that note, this is (as everyone knows) a remake of a Japanese film that came out at the beginning of the "digital mainstreaming" era (before EVERYONE was online and onphone), so the concept was a little creepier then.
