Terrible movie

I was looking forward to this and it was painfully bad. I guess they thought if you film in the grimy streets of Sao Paulo with gritty black and yellow cinematography then you automatically have another "City of God". Far from it. The script and acting were so one-dimensional, you could have had hand puppets as body doubles for Branden and his father. The dialog and motivations were one cliche after another. And they throw in a soothsayer with an unquestioned sixth sense, ridiculous. The scenes with Mos Def (excluding the obligatory chase scene) were the only good parts of this piece of crap.

Journey to the end of the movie is more like it...
