Good movie but couldnt figure out how the main bank robber knew what was in the safe.
was he of european descent? knew the survivors? perhaps the jewish character was involved?

Easy one. Remember Chaim, the Jewish guy that Clive Owen pushed to the floor during the bank hold up? Denzel and his partner latter questioned him. Turned out he was a jewler who gave Denzel advise on buying a diamond. He was part of the crew. He was the older guy at the end who Clive gave the diamonds and he asked Clive why did you leave the ring. Clearly he was family of the French Jews from whom the Nazis stole the Cartier ring. Chaim was the impetus of the whole deal.
shareI picked up on all you mentioned, but how did they know where the diamonds were kept...his house vs the bank, and what security deposit box? I guess I shouldn’t think too much about such details.
